Dr. Heather L. Bernard, DNP, RN, CIC, FAPIC, is an accomplished healthcare executive, infection prevention leader, and trusted advisor with more than 30 years of experience leading clinical operations, quality improvement, patient safety, and organizational transformation across diverse healthcare settings. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a specialization in Infection Prevention and Environmental Safety and is board certified in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC®). As a Fellow of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (FAPIC), Dr. Bernard combines advanced clinical expertise with executive leadership to help healthcare organizations strengthen leadership, improve quality outcomes, achieve regulatory readiness, and build cultures of clinical excellence.
Drawing on experience as a Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Infection Prevention, public health consultant, and executive healthcare leader, Dr. Bernard partners with hospitals, health systems, long-term care organizations, ambulatory providers, and other healthcare organizations to develop practical, evidence-based solutions that create lasting improvements in patient care and organizational performance.
